Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast to Host The State of Girls: Unfinished Business Forum on Wednesday, September 30th
This event is being hosted by Bon Secours Health System and the Virginia Beach Branch of the American Association of University Women.

Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be hosting The State of Girls: Unfinished Business Forum on Wednesday, September 30 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at WHRO Studios, located at 5200 Hampton Boulevard in Norfolk. The forum will introduce a groundbreaking report from the Girl Scout Research Institute that stakes out the key issues and major trends affecting girls’ healthy development in the United States, and particularly, in Virginia.

The forum will be moderated by Barbara Hamm-Lee, executive producer and host of Another View, a weekly call-in radio talk show on WHRV.

A report similar to The State of Girls: Unfinished Business, has never been conducted, making it a much-needed resource in the field for educators and advocates. The forum will provide awareness and create conversations about issues faced by girls today and how they play a big part in the choices that girls make.

This event is being hosted by Bon Secours Health System and the Virginia Beach Branch of the American Association of University Women.
