Bank of America Awards Grants to Hampton Roads Nonprofits
Charlie Henderson, Hampton Roads market president, Bank of America, recently presented checks to two nonprofits in Hampton Roads dedicated to shaping lives by providing access to food, shelter and medical care. The funding provided to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Virginia will support 11 club locations throughout southeast Virginia as they provide nutritious meals year-round to children from underserved neighborhoods.

The grant funding provided to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters will support specially-trained professionals as they work closely with young victims of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse to ensure that the best outcome is realized. These grants are part of a larger investment of $175,000 that the Bank of America Charitable Foundation has awarded to 16 nonprofits in Hampton Roads and will help provide access to basic human services programs.
