Hampton Roads Sports Commission Brings You The Recruiting Eligibility Compliance Forum
The Recruiting Eligibility Compliance (REC) Forum presented by CHKD Sports Medicine is your guide to playing college athletics and to learn the ins and outs of the process from local Division I, II & III colleges. The Hampton Roads Sports Commission (HRSC), an affiliate of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, presents this returning event that provides invaluable information to college-bound student-athletes and their families. If you are a student-athlete, parent of a student-athlete, coach, guidance counselor, athletic administrator or an enthusiast for amateur athletics, this is a must-see forum for you.

The event will be held Tuesday, February 11, at the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel & Conference Center, located at 2800 Shore Dr. in Virginia Beach. Session 1: Division III Eligibility and Recruiting will take place from 6:00-7:00pm. Session 2: Division I & III Eligibility and Recruiting will take place from 7:30-8:45pm.

A College & Vendor Fair will be held from 5:00-8:30pm and guest speaker Larry Rubama, sports writer for The Virginian-Pilot, will speak to attendees about representing oneself and ones team to the community, media and collegiate athletic programs. Local colleges to attend include Virginia Wesleyan College, Christopher Newport University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, and Chowan University.

The event is free and open to the public. There is an optional $5 donation when you register. To register or for more details, call 757-664-2573 or visit www.HamptonRoadsSports.org.  Space is limited.
