A Pet-Inspired Weekend at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.

Focuses on Holistic Health and Animal Communication

Virginia Beach, Va. – The bond between humans and animals is both strong and beautiful. For many of us, pets are not simply animals; they are part of the family. It is in honor of this special bond that Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. has created a pet-inspired weekend that focuses on holistic health (on Saturday, July 18) and animal communication training (on Sunday, July 19).

Holistic Pet Saturday: Nearly 70% of Edgar Cayce’s 14,000 readings were on focused on holistic health. The importance of a healthy lifestyle is universal and not only applies to humans but to animals as well. Our pets rely on us solely to provide adequate exercise and nutrition. But all too often it is extremely difficult to identify what your pet really needs, and what food and supplements fit the bill. Join holistic vet and magazine columnist Dr. Doug Knueven on Saturday, July 18, 2015, for Caring for Your Pet, Naturally: Holistic Health for the Life of Your Animal Companions.

Animal Communication Sunday: Have you ever wondered what your animal companion was thinking, how they were feeling, and how you can better express yourself to them? This is what talented animal communicators, like Debbie McGillivray, seek to practice and teach to help better understand the needs of animals while strengthening the bond of unconditional love. Join her for training on Saturday, July 19, 2015, at Animal Communication: If You Listen, They Will Speak.

These two conference presentations can be purchased separately or together as a package. Attendees have the opportunity to save money by attending both events, and registering in advance. A.R.E. Members are eligible to save up to $60 by using their membership discount during advanced registration for both programs (A.R.E. Membership begins at $39 with a free gift). Please note, do not bring animal companions to either conference event as the facility is not equipped to handle them, with the exception of service animals. Additionally please do not leave animals in the car, with or without the windows cracked, as high temperatures can be fatal and animal control will be called.

Dr. Doug Knueven, DVM, Practice Owner of Beaver Animal Clinic, will be visiting from Beaver, Va. to present on Caring for Your Pet, Naturally: Holistic Health for the Life of Your Animal Companions July 18, 2015. After several years of conventional veterinary medicine, he began to feel discouraged by the limitations and he began to participate in an acupuncture course offered by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). After receiving his IVAS certification, he quickly put his knowledge to the test to help many previously hopeless clinical cases. This was only the beginning, he began expanding his knowledge in holistic veterinary care and he is now certified in animal chiropractic care and veterinary Chinese herbology. He has since lectured and taught classes in the United States, Canada, and Europe, and is a successful author of Stand by Me, A Holistic Handbook for Animals, Their People, and the Lives They Share Together and The Holistic Health Guide: Natural Care for the Whole Dog.

Debbie McGillivray is a respected animal communicator who uses telepathic communication to communicate with animals to address behavioral, health, anxiety, or housebreaking concerns. She will join the A.R.E. on July 19 for the Animal Communication: If You Listen, They Will Speak! certificate training program. Debbie has worked with animals of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds, and even makes house visits and phone calls to distressed pets and owners to help them identify the cause for concern. With over 17 years of experience, Debbie has helped thousands of animals and their owners across the globe, and holds frequent workshops to teach people how to access this ability that all people have within themselves. She is the author of two books, Untamed Voice and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Pet Psychic Communication as well as the soon to be released Animal Communication Boot Camp.

Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is simply to help people around the world change their lives for the better through the ideas and information found in the Cayce readings. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. Visitors from around the world come to experience conferences featuring speakers on subjects like ancient mysteries, holistic health, and spiritual development. The campus is also home to Atlantic University (AU), which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Studies and Leadership Studies) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
