Ms. Small will be discussing why early childhood education should be considered a workforce development initiative. How early childhood small business training can be a viable source of funding for SBDC's and explaining how community collaboration can jump start funding for high impact business coaching in this industry.

Jim Carroll, Executive Director, Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads, Inc. commented that “Lauren's selection to present at the Association's annual professional development conference is a testament to the excellence of the program developed by Virginia Beach and the SBDC.  Lauren is at the forefront of an outstanding program that not only contributes directly to a city, region or state's economic development but also to the quality of life for its residents.  Once again, Hampton Roads is leading the way in developing new and effective initiatives to take businesses and the region into the future."
