The Chamber Hosts Job Fair for Transitioning Military, DOD Civilians and Veterans
The Military Transition Job Fair was held at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center on March 25 from 3pm to 7pm

The Chamber hosted a Military Transition Job Fair, in partnership with the Virginia Advisory Council on Military Education on March 25 from 3pm to 7pm. Held at the Westin Virginia Beach Town Center, there were 20 job fair exhibitors and a good flow of transitioning military personnel, DOD Civilians, and veterans in attendance.

Rickeysha “KiKi” Jones, Admissions Representative at Bryant & Stratton College’s Virginia Beach Campus, said, “Overall, it was a good experience and we look forward to the next event. We had the opportunity to speak with a couple of potential students and employees and will be certain to follow up with them based on their interest. We even had a chance to network with a few other companies for future endeavors.”

Anthony Johnson, Admissions Representative from the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, said, “I have been able to talk to and schedule appointments with the candidates I met at the event. We are still in our admissions process and things are going according to plan. The event was very well put together and I feel only the individuals who make the most of the opportunity will always have success at these kinds of events.”

Thank you to presenting sponsor Centura College and Westin Virginia Beach Town Center for hosting this event.
