Willcox & Savage of Norfolk Announces an Auction of Carter's Grove
Following extensive marketing and a lengthy bidding process, Stanley J. Samorajczyk, Trustee for Carter's Grove, announced that The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation was the successful bidder.

Following extensive marketing and a lengthy bidding process, an auction of Carter’s Grove was convened on May 21st.  Stanley J. Samorajczyk, Trustee for Carter’s Grove, announced that The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation was the successful bidder for Carter’s Grove, together with an adjacent parcel known as Martin’s Beach. The total offered by Colonial Williamsburg in its bid was $7.4 million. Samorajczyk said that he had received other offers, but none was competitive with the Foundation’s offer. McNamee Hosea of Annapolis and Willcox & Savage of Norfolk represent the Trustee in the proceedings.
