Regional Chambers Partner with WHRO in Initiative to Offer Training and Certification
SkillsOnline will provide workforce training courses

NORFOLK:  WHRO Public Media, through its SkillsOnline service, has partnered with the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Greater Williamsburg Chamber and Tourism Alliance, and The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce to offer affordable online training and certification to their members.

SkillsOnline is WHRO’s professional development and workforce training portal, offering thousands of skills-based courses for life-long learning and workplace advancement. The Chambers will offer SkillsOnline courses as a benefit to their member organizations and their employees.  

“SkillsOnline is an affordable, efficient way to train, gain industry certifications, achieve professional advancement and succeed in the career of your choice,” says Mike Kuhns, President/CEO of VA Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. “SkillsOnline offers courses in business including project management, marketing and computer skills, construction, graphic design, personal development, IT and more.”
