What are your business's core values, goals, and overall mission?
At Escape Room Virginia Beach we thrive to create new, fun, and interactive group experiences. Through our various games and themed rooms we promote team building, problem solving, and thinking outside of the box for various groups. We also want to give back to the community as a whole and be able to support the many charities and other local businesses we have. Through donations and volunteer projects with our own employees, we realize the importance of giving back to those around us.

Share some unique facts and business history? What makes your business stand out?
We're the first of its kind in this area! Although the escape room concept has been experiencing success throughout the world and continues its aggressive growth with new locations throughout the United States, we wanted to bring this type of experience to our own community. We're such a unique activity to do and although we only opened up in July of 2015, we are off to a great start with four different themed rooms to play. Whether it is for a date night, birthday party, corporate team building activity, or a special outing, we offer something fun for everyone!

What products or services do you offer companies or individuals?
We offer a team building experience for groups who want something challenging and fun to do. Teams are able to improve communication, build synergy, create leaders, and become more productive and effective in our fun and exciting themed rooms.

What are the greatest obstacles and/or challenges that your business has faced? How have you and your business overcome them?
We have always been true believers that every obstacle and/or challenge is a hidden opportunity, and it rings true time and time again with us. With each of our games, we are constantly improving the processes and making sure that each customer enjoys their experience. We also have to be on top of our game since this is such a new concept. Most people hear about us from word of mouth so it is critical for us to make sure that our reviews and the feedback which we do receive from our customers is not taken lightly. Our customers are our biggest motivators, and it is through their support that we strive to be the very best at what we do, day in and day out.

What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Since Escape Room Virginia Beach is such a different and new concept in the area, we are amazed at how quickly it has taken off in just the few months that we have been open! That being said, this accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for our awesome employees as well as the overwhelming positive response and support we have received from the community.

What do you see for the future of your business?
We strive to be the best. Whether it is the experience of booking a room with us, the actual game, or the feeling which you get when you walk into our building, it is our goal to have each and every customer want to come back and experience us again. Who knows what the actual future holds, but we do hope to open up other facilities locally and we are exploring other cities as well that cater to various neighborhoods and crowds.

Why are you a member of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce?
Being a member is a great way to network and connect with various individuals and companies within the area. Through the various events which the Chamber of Commerce hosts or promotes, we are able to turn the concept of an escape room from something they hear to something that truly exists right here in Hampton Roads. Interacting face to face is key in the networking world and we wouldn’t be where we are today without being a member of the Chamber. Here's a big plus, we learn from other Chamber members and in the end, we're all improving our respective businesses.
