Santa Arrives at MacArthur Center

Santa Arrives at MacArthur Center
Join Santa's Festive Holiday Parade!

Celebrate Santa’s arrival to MacArthur Center on Saturday, November 4 at 2pm with Richmond Ballet, The State Ballet of Virginia! Join our festive Santa parade including members of the student cast of Richmond Ballet’s “The Nutcracker,” Richmond Ballet’s enchanting Snow Queen and the Coca-Cola Polar Bear. The first 50 children to line up on the red carpet at the main mall entrance will receive a free gift.

Festive holiday music from the Swinging Santa Band will fill the air as we march through the mall to the magical Ice Palace where children can play in the snow, have their photo taken with the Richmond Ballet’s Snow Queen on the Ice Throne and finally meet and have a professional photo taken with Santa. All children who visit Santa will receive a free gift along with free milk and cookies.

Children can also listen as recently retired Richmond Ballet dancer Valerie Tellmann-Henning reads “Richmond Ballet The Nutcracker, As told by the Sugar Plum Fairy.” The story details Tellman-Henning’s journey from the role of Clara in 1994 to the                    Sugar Plum Fairy. The readings are from 2:30pm -3:00pm and from 3:30pm - 4:00pm.
