Girl Scout Famous Formers Luncheon
The annual Girl Scout Famous Formers Luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 29 at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.

Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be hosting its annual Girl Scout Famous Formers Luncheon on Thursday, October 29 at 11:30 a.m. at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. At the luncheon, Girl Scouts will be honoring six local alumnae who exemplify the values of Girl Scouting and have distinguished themselves as outstanding role models for girls and women through individual excellence and high levels of achievement in their professional activities and volunteer efforts.

This year, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast is honoring the following women as Girl Scout Famous Formers: Peggy Birkemeier, retired senior associate with the North Carolina Community Foundation; Emma Jean Brady, retired branch manager with the Blackwater Regional Library; Susan Colpitts, founder and chief of client engagement at Signature Family Wealth Advisors; Barbara Hamm Lee, executive director and host of Another View and managing director of SkillsOnline at WHRO Public Media; Khadijah Sellers, senior operations analyst at Enspyr, LLC; and Sylvia Weinstein, publisher and editor of the Oyster Pointer newspaper

Commonwealth of Virginia Secretary of Administration Nancy Rodrigues will be the keynote speaker for the luncheon. Secretary Rodrigues, who was appointed to her currently position by Governor Terry McAuliffe in 2013, has more than 30 years in public service and has a wealth of executive expertise and strategic planning experience. Rodrigues is also a Girl Scout alumna.
