The Chamber’s inaugural Dog Days of Summer event held on August 25 at the new Children’s Museum of Virginia in Olde Towne, Portsmouth, attracted nearly 200 attendees. The evening included samplings from area restaurants of hot dogs and other delectable morsels, lively business exhibits, and music. Attendees judged the vendors in a variety of categories. Winners were: TradeWinds Restaurant (Best Overall Food), Halo’s Hot Dogs (Best Hot Dog), Dancing Tomato (Best Old Dog New Tricks Hot Dog), and Patty’s Place Deli-Bakery (Best Overall Booth).
