New York Times Best to Selling Author, Sally Bedell Smith, to speak at Professional Women’s Leadership Luncheon on September 21

HAMPTON ROADS, VA — The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is hosting its Professional Women’s Leadership Luncheon on Friday, September 21 at 11:45am at the Holiday Inn Virginia Beach-Norfolk Hotel and Conference Center.  The luncheon will feature guest speaker Sally Bedell, New York Times best selling author, who will discuss the public and private lives of Queen Elizabeth II as she celebrates her Diamond Jubilee marking 60 years on the throne.

Smith will have a lively discussion with WTKR News Channel 3 anchor, Barbara Ciara, on the British monarchy, based on her latest book, "Elizabeth the Queen, The Life of a Modern Monarch."  The author was given unprecedented access to Queen Elizabeth, II, as she did research for her book.  Attendees will hear facts about the Queen, her family, and her entourage, that few have previously known. Smith will also report on her recent trip to England, where she participated in the celebrations of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.  This will be a fun, interesting and informative program providing you with a greater understanding of the British respect for governance under a constitutional monarchy, and their devotion to their Queen.
