Legislation will Transform America’s Health Care System
April 14, 2010

The healthcare bill that the Senate and House signed became a law on March 23, 2010. However, despite the significance of this bill, much of it will not go into effect until 2014 with other aspects coming even later. The various government agencies, particularly the Department of Health and Human Services and Internal Revenue Service, will be working over the next several years on drafting the regulations necessary to implement the new laws. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will keep the business community informed as things develop throughout the legislative and regulatory processes with regards to health care.

Read the two U.S. Chamber of Commerce documents below for a detailed description of the timing of these provisions and the affects this legislation will have on business and the economy.
