Chamber Announces 2010 Leadership
NORFOLK, VA — The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce will hold its 25th Annual Meeting of the Membership on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 12:00-1:45pm at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott (235 East Main St., Norfolk). The Annual Meeting is the region’s largest gathering of business leaders and elected officials, with more than 750 expected. This year’s Keynote Speaker is Governor-elect Robert F. McDonnell. This is one of McDonnell’s first public appearances since becoming Virginia’s Governor-elect, and the Chamber is honored to have him speak to its membership.
The Chamber will recognize its 2009 leadership and welcome the 2010 incoming leaders. Special thanks will be extended to Bob Boyd (BB&T) for his leadership and vision as the Chamber’s 2009 Chair. The following individuals have been elected as the Chamber’s 2010 officers. Headshots of each are attached:
H. Nelson Adcock, Jr., President of GeoEnvironmental Resources, Inc., will serve as Chair. He served as the Chamber’s Chair-elect in 2009.
Nancy Bagranoff, D.B.A, Professor of Accounting and Dean of the College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University, will serve as the Chamber’s Chair-elect in 2010. In 2009, she served as the Chamber’s Treasurer.
David Durham, Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Line of Business Manager, SunTrust Bank, will serve as Treasurer. In 2009, David served as the Chamber’s Chair of the Sustainable Resources Campaign.
