Marc Willson, the VSBDC Retail Advisor and counselor will be conducting two workshops at the Hampton Roads Chamber on the 21st of April. In the morning he will give a presentation on “Staying Relevant to a Changed Customer”. This presentation looks at the way consumers approach the whole retail experience in the digital age and how existing “Bricks and Mortar” retailers can adjust their strategies to meet and succeed in this challenging environment.
His afternoon presentation will be “Art as a Business” which looks at how artists can monetize their skills and sell what they create.
The morning presentation will start at 9 am while the afternoon presentation will take place at 1:30 pm.
The admission price for each presentation is $10. If you are a member of the Chamber, Retail Alliance or Downtown Norfolk Council, the price is $5 for each presentation.
Both presentations have been given to sold-out audiences throughout the Commonwealth. Marc brings over 30 years experience in the retail trade and couples his tremendous amount of knowledge and practical experience with down to earth, practical advice which retailers, store owners and artists can implement the very same day.
