Chamber Hosts Forum for Chesapeake City Council, School Board and Mayoral Candidates

Chesapeake City Council Candidate, Bryan CollinsAs the leading voice of business, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is committed to providing our members and the voters of our community with the information they need to know to make informed decisions in the local May 1 elections. 

The Honorable Alan P. Krasnoff, Mayor, City of ChesapeakeThe Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce hosted a forum for Chesapeake School Board candidates, Chesapeake City Council candidates and Chesapeake Mayoral candidates on April 19 at 6:00pm at the Chesapeake Conference Center.  All candidates participated and fielded questions from the Chamber’s Chesapeake Board on various topics of interest such as budget cuts, teacher and administrator salaries, tolls and overall economic development.  Kevin Cosgrove of Hunton & Williams, a member of the Chamber’s Chesapeake Board, served as moderator for the event, which was open to the public.
