Former Newsweek Editor and Author to Speak at Chamber's Women's Leadership Luncheon Series on September 10
The Chamber's Professional Women's Leadership Luncheon Series is open to the public. Speaker messages are universal.


WHAT:           The Chamber’s Professional Women’s Leadership Luncheon Series will feature speaker Alexis Gelber who will present, “What Kind of Leader Are You?”  Attendees will discover the different styles of successful leaders, identify their own leadership style and explore how to improve their skills as an effective leader.

WHO:              Alexis Gelber is an award-winning editor and journalist with experience in digital and print media.  A longtime top editor at Newsweek, Gelber supervised award-winning coverage of politics, social issues and international news as the magazine’s National Affairs Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, and as the Managing Editor of Newsweek International.  She is a graduate of Barnard College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.  Gelber was the editorial director of The Human Face of Big Data, a book and multimedia project published in December 2012. She was also the editor of Zoom: Surprising Ways to Supercharge Your Career, a book based on Fortune’s 40 under 40 series on young business leaders and entrepreneurs, published in September 2013. Gelber is currently an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
