Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce to Host “Dialogue with Congressman Randy Forbes” on September 3
U.S. Chamber of Commerce will present Forbes with Spirit of Enterprise Award

Norfolk, VA – The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is hosting a unique breakfast briefing on Friday, September 3 at 8am at SpringHill Suites by Marriott (1446 Crossways Blvd.) in Chesapeake for the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Trustees. Business leaders will get a closer look at the impact Congressman Forbes has had on the Hampton Roads community.  Attendees will hear from the Congressman on his views of the military, including the possible closure of Joint Forces Command, as well as his concerns for small business. At the conclusion of the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to ask the Congressman questions.

During the event, Moore Hallmark, Southeast Regional Director, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and William Walton, Board of Directors, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, will present Congressman Forbes with its Spirit of Enterprise award.  On April 27, the U.S. Chamber recognized 230 Members of Congress with the coveted Spirit of Enterprise award for their pro-business voting records during the first session of the 111th Congress at a special event in Washington, DC. Congressmen Randy Forbes (VA-04), Robert Wittman (VA-01), Bob Goodlatte (VA-06), Eric Cantor (VA-07), Rick Boucher (VA-09) and Frank Wolf (VA-10) all earned the Spirit of Enterprise Award.  The U.S. Chamber and the Hampton Roads Chamber strive to recognize and thank lawmakers for their leadership and support of business issues.
