WHO: Alexis Gelber is an award-winning editor and journalist with experience in digital and print media. A longtime top editor at Newsweek, Gelber supervised award-winning coverage of politics, social issues and international news as the magazines National Affairs Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, and as the Managing Editor of Newsweek International. She is graduate of Barnard College and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Most recently, Gelber was the editorial Director of The Human Face of Big Data, a book and multimedia project published in December 2012. She was also the editor of Zoom: Surprising Ways to Supercharge Your Career, a book based on Fortune’s 40 under 40 series on young business leaders and entrepreneurs, published in September 2013. Gelber is currently an Adjunct Professor at NYU’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute.
