Find out just how sophisticated a Girl Scout Cookie can be! Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be hosting the 8th annual Samoa Soiree on Saturday, March 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in Norfolk. At the event, top chefs in Hampton Roads create unique desserts and appetizers using a Girl Scout Cookie variety as the key ingredient. The evening includes delicious food, live music and a silent auction.
Local food critic and writer Patrick Evans-Hylton will lead a team of local celebrity judges to select the winning dishes for the evening. Entertainment will be provided by 504 Supreme Band, a local ensemble known for their high-energy swing and jazz music. Girl Scouts are excited to welcome WVEC Reporter Ashley Smith as a special guest at this year’s Samoa Soiree.
This year’s participating restaurants include: Anchor Allie’s Bistro, The Butcher’s Son, Cyprus Grille at Embassy Suites, Farm Fresh Supermarkets, Freemason Abbey Restaurant, Gourmet Gang, HomeGrown, Now You’re Cooking The Press Norfolk, RJ’s Café at the Salvation Army Kroc Center, Tap It Local, Travinia Italian Kitchen, Twisted Sisters Cupcakes and The Vineyards Trattoria.
