Hampton Roads Sports Commission Presents Recruiting Eligibility Compliance Forum on February 12

The Recruiting Eligibility Compliance (REC) Forum is your guide to playing college athletics and to learn the ins and outs of the process from local Division I, II & III colleges.  The Hampton Roads Sports Commission (HRSC), an affiliate of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, presents this first-ever event that will provide invaluable information to college-bound student-athletes and their families. If you are a student-athlete, parent of a student-athlete, coach, guidance counselor, athletic administrator or an enthusiast for amateur athletics, this is a must-see forum for you.

The event will be held Tuesday, February 12 at The Founders Inn and Spa located at 5641 Indian River Road in Virginia Beach. Session 1: Division III eligibility and recruiting, facilitated by Christopher Newport University & Virginia Wesleyan College Athletic Departments, will take place from 6:00-7:00pm.  Session 2: Division I & III eligibility and recruiting, facilitated by Norfolk State University & Old Dominion University Athletic Departments, will take place from 7:15-8:30pm.

A College & Vendor Fair will be held from 5:30-9:30pm and guest speaker Dr. Dennis Thomas, Commissioner of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, will speak to attendees.

The event is free and open to the public. Register by calling 757-664-2573.  Space is limited.  For more information, please visit www.HamptonRoadsSports.org
