Maureen Sherry worked on Wall Street for 12 years.
The youngest managing director at Bear Stearns, which was at the time the country’s fifth-largest investment bank, and a graduate of Cornell University, Sherry returned to school in 2000 to earn her masters degree, write and tutor at inner city schools.
A life’s journey that seems circuitous in nature, she originally wanted to be a writer and was offered a job at a magazine for $16,000 a year.
