Hampton Raods, VA – The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce will host its 16th Annual Virginia Beach Armed Forces Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, July 21 at 12 p.m. at the Shifting Sands Beach Club, located on Dam Neck Annex, in Virginia Beach. This awards luncheon will extend recognition from the business community to more than 100 outstanding military personnel stationed at commands in Virginia Beach, including Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEB), Naval Air Station Oceana (NAS Oceana), and Dam Neck Annex. This annual event is held to honor the hardworking men and women of the military. Service members will be joined at the luncheon by their families, military leadership, elected officials and business leaders from the region. During the program, Captain Mark Rich, USN, Commanding Officer, NAS Oceana, and Virginia Beach City Councilman Jim Wood will provide remarks.
The Chamber hosts this awards luncheon annually because military personnel are such an important part of our region. This is one of many events hosted by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce to show local support for men and women of the armed forces stationed in the area.
This event is open to the public. The cost is $35 per person and reservations are required. To attend, please call the Reservation Hotline at (757) 664-2558.
