NORFOLK, VA – The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Hampton Roads Sports Commission will host a Sand Kickball Tournament on Friday, September 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. on the beach near the Ocean View Fishing Pier (400 West Ocean View Ave., Norfolk). Teams from non-profit organizations, small, mid-size and large corporations will compete in a high energy, sand kickball tournament. The event will conclude with an awards presentation and networking on the upper deck of the Ocean View Fishing Pier.
Nearly 150 players on 12 teams participated in the inaugural tournament held in September 2012. A team from the Sheraton Waterside Norfolk won the first place “Grand Sand Kickers” trophy.
Cost for the 2013 tournament is $350 for a team of 12 (members) and $500 for a team of 12 (prospective members). Players will receive an event T-shirt. Snacks and cash bar available.
