84th Annual A.R.E. Members Congress: Bringing the Edgar Cayce Readings to Life
Since its founding in 1931 , the Association for Research and Enlightenment has held 83 A.R.E. Member Congresses at the Virginia Beach Headquarters in accordance with Cayces reading.

Virginia Beach, Va. – It was in 1931 that Edgar Cayce gave the first reading on an annual Members Congress, suggesting that each year a meeting of A.R.E. members from around the world should gather at A.R.E.’s Virginia Beach headquarters, with the reports made by representatives as well as speakers that would renew the faith, confidence, purposes, and aims of the work itself.

Since its founding that very same year, the Association for Research and Enlightenment has held 83 A.R.E. Member Congresses at the Virginia Beach Headquarters in accordance with Cayce’s reading. The original purposes of Congress remain in this week of fellowship, communication, education, inspiration, celebration, and interaction between worldwide A.R.E. Members, staff, and A.R.E.’s Board of Trustees. Each year, hundreds from around the world come to participate in special programs, workshops, activities, and more. The year 2015 will mark the 84th Annual A.R.E. Members Congress and is set to be one of the most memorable yet.

Open to members AND nonmembers, attendees at this year’s gathering will find favorite speakers like Sidney and Nancy Kirkpatrick, Mark Thurston PhD, Donald Carroll, Peter Woodbury MSW, Kevin J. Todeschi MA, and more. The A.R.E. is especially pleased to announce this year’s special guest: Faith Hope Charity Harding. Faith, known as “The Little Prophetess” throughout her childhood, received two Cayce readings in which Cayce revealed her past incarnations to be Saint Cecilia (the patron saint of musicians) and before that, Elizabeth (the mother of John the Baptist and cousin of the Virgin Mary). During one of her readings, Archangel Michael made an appearance giving warning to protect and love her, and keep her from harm. Faith, much like Cayce, provided many accurate prophecies delivered in biblical language…however she did so as a small child. She was featured in Time magazine, on popular radio shows, and had a weekly newspaper column. Cayce even invited Faith to one of the first A.R.E. Members Congresses, however it would not come to fruition due to a bitter custody battle between her parents. The A.R.E. extended Edgar’s original invitation for Faith to visit Virginia Beach and attend this year’s Congress, and she generously agreed to appear on Sunday, June 21.

This Congress is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime event. Congress admission will be $85 for both A.R.E. Members and non-Members, and it is encouraged that attendees register online in advance. This event is open to all, and A.R.E. Life Members may redeem their Life Member passes. Edgar Cayce founded the non-profit Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in 1931, to explore spirituality, holistic health, intuition, dream interpretation, psychic development, reincarnation, and ancient mysteries—all subjects that frequently came up in the more than 14,000 documented psychic readings given by Cayce, who died in 1945. The mission of A.R.E. is simply to help people around the world change their lives for the better through the ideas and information found in the Cayce readings. The Virginia Beach headquarters is a popular site for locals and tourists with free daily lectures, a Health Center & Spa, the Cayce/Reilly® School of Massage, an extensive metaphysical library, a meditation garden, a stone labyrinth, and a bookstore and gift shop. Visitors from around the world come to experience conferences featuring speakers on subjects like ancient mysteries, holistic health, and spiritual development. The campus is also home to Atlantic University (AU), which offers two masters degrees (Transpersonal Studies and Leadership Studies) through an online platform, as well as continuing education and certificate programs. Through A.R.E.’s many programs, services, publications, and membership outreach, individuals from all walks of life and religious backgrounds are provided with tools for personal transformation and healing at all levels—body, mind, and spirit.
