Bank of America Donates 5,000 Dollars to Nauticus, Funding Youth Sail Program
The donation from Bank of America will go directly to funding programming dedicated to providing STEM education and helping at-risk youth develop leadership skills through sailing lessons.

On Tuesday, June 10, Charlie Henderson of Bank of America (right) presented a $5,000 check to Norfolk-based non-profit, Nauticus, to help fund the Sail Nauticus Academy which provides STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education, as well as swim instruction and water safety, to at-risk local youth. This donation from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation underscores its commitment to helping underserved young people succeed academically and develop job and leadership skills.

The Sail Nauticus Academy is an after-school initiative that aims to expose students from the Norfolk Public School system to a learning environment outside of the traditional classroom setting, providing safe and affordable access to the water.
