Virginia FREE Briefs HRBizPac on 2015 General Assembly Session Ratings
HRBizPac is a non-partisan element of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce

On Friday, June 12, Chris Saxman, Executive Director of the Virginia Foundation for Research and Economic Education (Virginia FREE) briefed the HRBizPAC on the ratings of the 2015 General Assembly Session. These rankings were created so  that the Commonwealth continues to strive to be the best state to conduct business and to fairly evaluate business related votes taken over a maximum four year period.

Mr. Saxman, a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates, noted that the Senate of Virginia has lost thru voluntary retirement four of the top eight ranked “pro-business” legislators and the business community must proactively work to insure that those replacing them understand the myriad of challenges facing the business community and the economy of the Commonwealth. He noted that unless we get government right, we can’t get our economy right.
