VIRGINIA BEACH — The Founders Inn and Spa is probably one of the most popular luxury hotels here, drawing in tourists and locals year-round. However, newcomers and loyal customers can soon expect to see major changes for the 27-year-old inn.
Melissa Georges, director of sales and marketing, said Founders will soon become part of Hilton Hotels Tapestry Collection.
It will be undergoing a number of renovations, including upgrades to the Swan Terrace restaurant, as well as a different bartop area which will be serving beverages from local Virginia Beach breweries.
Georges said although Founders will be under the Hilton, the hotel will retain its unique and independent style.
“We will still be a colonial hotel, but with modern amenities,” Georges said. Read more.
