NORFOLK, VA — The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce will host a trip to China and a trip to Tuscany, Italy in the Fall of 2012. Both trips are open to the public. Space is limited and reservations are made on a first come, first serve basis.
From October 6-14, travelers will enjoy an unforgettable all inclusive trip to China, experiencing the cities of Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Shanghai. Visit the Great Wall, Tian An Men Square, learn about the Chinese business system and have the opportunity to meet with Chinese business leaders. A free China pre-tour orientation will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 6pm at the Chamber’s office (500 East Main St., Suite 700, Norfolk). Cost is $2,149 per person (double occupancy), $500 single supplement.
The Tuscany trip from November 8-16, with optional 3-day Rome extension, includes memorable sites and unforgettable cultural experiences. Visit Florence, the Statue of David, the Basilica of St. Francis, San Gimingnano, Siena, Chianti region, Lucca & Pisa, and the Italian Riviera. Cost is $2,299 per person (double occupancy), $550 single supplement.
The Chamber hosted its first international trip in September 2010 when a group of 95 Hampton Roads residents traveled to China and experienced the itinerary being offered again in 2012. In November 2011, travelers enjoyed an eight-day trip to Barcelona and Madrid, Spain.
