Virginia Beach plays host to the 48th Induction Weekend, April 5-6

(Virginia Beach, VA) - Join the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, April 5-6 in Town Center of Virginia Beach as it welcomes a new class of inductees for 2019 Induction Weekend. Don't miss your chance to be a part of sports history and celebrate eight deserving individuals as they take their place among Commonwealth sports greats. The Hall has three events planned over the course of two days aimed at engaging area sports fans with current and past inductees:

VIP Celebrity Reception - Friday, April 5, 7 p.m. Westin Hotel

Breakfast with Champions - Saturday, April 6, 9 a.m. Westin Hotel

2019 Induction Ceremony - Saturday April 6, 7 p.m. Zeiders American Dream Theater

Meet and mingle with inductees past and present at the VIP Reception. Ask questions and get autographs from the Class of 2019 at Breakfast with Champions. Watch as the new class is formally inducted at the 2019 Induction Ceremony. There truly is an event to satisfy every sports fan's needs/

Individual event tickets range from $10 - $50 each, and group ticket packages are available to the Friday night VIP Reception. Induction Ceremony space is limited, and a small number of tickets will be made available to the public two weeks prior to the Induction. The VIP Reception and Breakfast with Champions offer area sports fans wonderful opportunities for engagement with Virginia sports legends.

Ruben Brown, Lynchburg native, and 9-time NFL Pro-Bowl offensive lineman

Jeff Burton, South Boston native, and 21 time winner in NASCAR's top circuit

Wendy Larry, winningest head coach in Old Dominion women's basketball history

Mark Lenzi, NCAA Champion and Olympic Gold medalist diver

Heath Miller, All-American tight end at the University of Virginia, and 2-time Super Bowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers

William "Buster" O'Brien, Virginia Beach native, and record setting quarterback for the University of Richmond

Debbie White, former ODU Associate Athletic Director, and Virginia's first full-time female sportswriter

Tom Yeager, Commissioner of the Colonial Athletic Association for 31 years
