On November 3, the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance, a Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce partner, announced that Hectronic USA has selected Chesapeake, VA for its newest U.S. location. Hectronic has announced an investment of $2M over the next 36 months and an initial creation of five jobs. Hectronic’s facility will provide sales and customer service, as well as functioning for installation and demonstration.
Hectronic USA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of HECTRONIC, located in Germany’s Black Forest. The company’s area of expertise is in modern parking space management, refueling systems and filling station tank level management systems. Concepts and products are presented on six continents with worldwide client support.
“Establishing a U.S. facility was of utmost importance to us,” said Hectronic’s General Manager Mike Griese. “Hampton Roads is ideally located for our plans to serve the metropolitan markets on the East Coast. Being able to hire exiting military is a plus for our business.”
The Alliance first met with Hectronic during a marketing trip in October 2009 while conducting a mission to Germany.
“We are pleased to welcome Hectronic USA to our international business community in Chesapeake,” said Steven Wright, Director of Economic Development for the City. “As with many other international companies, we are confident that Hectronic USA will succeed as a global enterprise and grow substantially over the coming years.”
