National Geographic Photographer to Speak at Virginia Aquarium
Sunday, December 7, 2-3 p.m. at the Virginia Aquarium Giant Screen 3D Theater

The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center will feature internationally renowned photographer Joel Sartore for the Watts Conservation Speaker Series. Satore will present a program of photos, video and amazing stories on his Photo Ark project. It is free but seating is limited. Refreshments will be served afterwards during the meet and greet.

The Photo Ark is Sartore’s personal mission to photograph every species in human care on Earth. His presentation will allow guests to go behind the scenes as Sartore travels around the world to capture creatures, including the most toxic, outrageous, colorful and simply beautiful. From hilarious to touching, guests will get the inside scoop on favorites like pandas, tigers and elephants, as well as animals that are on the very brink of extinction.
