The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Chesapeake Division Board received an informative briefing on the Dominion Boulevard Corridor Study from the Chesapeake Planning Staff. The Dominion Boulevard Corridor Study that was recently approved by City Council on November 15th. Mark Woodward, AICP – Comprehensive Plan Administrator and Steve Lambert, Sr. Comprehensive Planner and Project lead noted that the city had spent 3 years developing the future development recommendations for property south of the new Veterans Bridge to the North Carolina Border. The in-depth planning process report attempts to layout the next 50+ years of proper development opportunities in southern Chesapeake. Members of the Chesapeake Division Board participated in this business and community related planning process over the last 3 years. The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce will stay engaged with these developments as the focus moves towards policy discussion related to funding infrastructure to service these growth areas.
