Colliers Virginia Certified by Governor Northam as V3 Organization

NORFOLK, Va. – (November 26, 2019) – Colliers Virginia is pleased to announce its official certification as a V3 organization under the Virginia Values Veterans program. The certified organizations are recognized by Governor Northam, and Scott Adams, president of Colliers Virginia, accepted the official designation.

Virginia Values Veterans is a free training and certification program for employers to help them implement nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring and retaining highly-skilled and dependable Veterans.

The first V3 conference was held in Richmond in 2012, where 63 employers representing more than 50 companies expressed interest in the new opportunity to connect their companies with Virginia’s Veterans. Since inception, the V3 program has grown to reach hundreds of Virginia companies, resulting in more than 33,000 actual hires reported so far.

“Truly, Virginia employers have recognized the value that Veterans can bring to their workforce,” said Adams. We are thrilled to be recognized by the Commonwealth in this essential program and even more proud of the 22 veterans as well as the numerous military spouses we have working for Colliers throughout Virginia.”

As part of Colliers Virginia’s continued efforts to recruit and employ Veterans, Avigail DelaCruz, director of organizational effectiveness, and Jenny Leigh, chief human resources officer with Colliers Virginia, hold Veterans at Work Certificates from the Society of Human Resources Management.
