ARDX would like to personally invite you and your organization to attend the 2016 Women’s Wellness Celebration (WWC) held on Tuesday, October 11 at the ODU Ted Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, VA.
This year’s theme, Mental Health Matters: Opening Eyes. Opening Minds., is aimed at bringing awareness to mental health issues faced by adolescent girls and women within the Hampton Roads area. Mental health is a critical component to our overall wellness and this is especially true for adolescent girls and women. Enormous pressures are being placed on our country’s female population and are a huge contributing factor to their overall well-being.
Our amazing line up of engaging speakers will hold workshops on the mental health impact of violence against women, bullying, and low self-esteem. Together, we’ll openly discuss how we can improve access to quality mental health services within our community.
This empowering day will end with the WWC Dinner, where our keynote speaker and this year’s honoree, Dr. Stacie Otey-Scott, Executive Director of Community Wellness at The Mount, will address the importance of emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness.
Space is limited, so please secure your spot today by registering at: www.ardx.net/community/wwc.
I hope you’ll be able to join us as we continue to empower and inspire the women of Hampton Roads in making healthy life choices for themselves, their families, and their community.
