James Dawson Named Regional Director for Support Services

Chesapeake, Va. – Cox Communications recently announced that James Dawson has been named regional director for support services for Cox’s East Region. Dawson will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of more than 100 facilities throughout Virginia and New England.

Dawson brings to this role more than 20 years of experience. He joined Cox in 1998 as a field technician and has held many roles since. Most recently, he was a senior manager for facilities and real estate operations. He was key in ensuring all Cox buildings and facilities followed all local, state, and federal OSHA facility related regulations. Dawson brings strong leadership skills to this role, including experience in leading geographically dispersed managers, teams, and contract employees across two regions and six markets.

He is a member of the Poquoson Masonic Lodge and volunteers his time through his community.

Dawson graduated from Georgia Tech University’s Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Management Development Program.

He will remain in Hampton Roads where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
