Chamber members and guests enjoyed strolling through exhibitor booths featuring products and services of more than 60 local businesses. Attendees sampled complimentary snacks and sandwiches from Arby’s and HoneyBaked Ham, and adult beverages provided by Young Veterans Brewing Company. Energetic local band Pretty Ugly played a long lineup of current hits, and blue skies and a light breeze had everyone in good spirits.
This annual Chamber tradition provides a great opportunity for small and large businesses to interact and connect with other business leaders, Chamber members and members of the community. The fun atmosphere provides a memorable experience that keeps exhibitors and guests coming back year after year. Many businesses are in their fifth or sixth year exhibiting at Beach Bash.
“It is our fifth year and we keep coming back,” says President/CEO of Bank @LANTEC, Susan Ralston. “We meet a lot of nice people and that helps us grow our business. I like the camaraderie and the fact that you see a lot of local businesses. It’s great! ”
Misty Curtis, sales manager at iFly Virginia Beach said, “I like that we get to come out and network and get our company seen, and meet other businesses as well.”
For four years, Beach Bash has been hosted in conjunction with the Chamber and Hampton Roads Sports Commission’s annual Sand Kickball Tournament, which was held from 12:00 to 6:00pm on the oceanfront. Following the tournament, Chamber President & CEO Bryan K. Stephens presented the Grand Sand Kicker’s Cup to the winning team, Brown and Brown Insurance, on Neptune Park stage. Awards were also presented to the second and third place teams.
Virginia Beach Allstate agent Christopher Boyce was happy to be at Beach Bash, and said, “I love the fact that we get to meet other vendors and market. You get the chance to meet new people and just have a good time!”
