HAMPTON ROADS, VA – The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2009 Hampton Roads Small Business of the Year winner at the annual Small Business of the Year awards luncheon on Thursday, October 1 at 12:00pm at the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel & Waterfront Conference Center located at 425 Water Street in Portsmouth. The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year awards, a signature Chamber event, is the premier small business award ceremony in the region. Chesapeake City Mayor Alan Krasnoff and Suffolk City Mayor Linda Johnson and City of Portsmouth Vice Mayor William E. Moody will be in attendance to congratulate the winners.
At the luncheon, one of the five city small business winners will be announced as the Hampton Roads Small Business of the Year. The Chamber is pleased to announce these five small businesses as the 2009 city Small Business of the Year winners:

The Verizon Wireless Leadership Award and the Top 10 to Watch will also be recognized at the event. The Top 10 to Watch list was compiled by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and its Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads to recognize ten businesses for being some of the fastest growing companies in the area and for their service in supporting the local small business community.
